KIDS from West Fife primary schools have brought award-winning artwork and a riot of colour to the Carnegie Birthplace Museum.

Their vibrant creations are on display until 17th August after impressing judges in the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust’s annual primary school art competition.

Participating schools were asked to provide a piece of artwork from each of the seven primary stages.

The verdict of the judging panel was, “It’s delightful to see the range, quality and scope of these vibrant examples of local children’s artwork. It makes the judges’ job of choosing winners very difficult.” Prize vouchers and framed commemorative certificates were presented by museum convener Angus Hogg to the following winners: Adam Finnie, Calaiswood; Primary 1 Marcus Kerr, Cairneyhill PS; Primary 2 Ollie Wishart, Touch PS; P3 Callum Bright, Pittencrieff PS; P4 Caitlin Bruce, Townhill PS; Primary 5 Kody McKay, St John’s PS; Primary 6 Kalie Gostick, Limekilns PS; Primary 7 Josh Ritchie, Canmore PS.
