CLUED Up, a drug and alcohol awareness service that operates in West Fife, has been awarded £6981 from the Scotch Whisky Action Fund.

The money will go towards the costs of a mobile alcohol intervention team, targeting young people under the age of 18.

Clued Up was one of eight Scottish projects to receive money from the fund which is giving out £100,000 a year for five years to groups tackling alcohol issues. It was set up by the Scotch Whisky Association as part of their commitment to addressing alcohol misuse and promoting responsible drinking.

It’s anticipated that 84 young people a year will benefit from the project in Fife which aims to reduce health risks and anti-social behaviour.
