A SUNNY family day out was had by all at the Abbeyview Children’s Festival on Sunday.
Around 1000 visitors turned out to enjoy a funfair, kiddie rides, a range of community stalls, entertainment from the Laura McFadden School of Dance and martial arts demonstrations from JKS Scotland.
The day, organised by the Abbeyview Children’s Festival Committee, also saw St Ninian’s Church offering strawberry teas, music laid on by Radio West Fife and a kids’ fancy dress competition.
Presiding over the gaiety were gala king David James Robertson (11) and queen Sarah McGarry (10), who were crowned by festival committee chair Stewart Coates.
A festival spokesperson told the Press, “It was a beautiful day and everybody had fun.
“Attendance was down a bit but that was likely due to the World Highland Championships at the Glen on Sunday.
“Everybody enjoyed themselves and we had some good feedback.”
