FIREFIGHTERS raced to Leys Park Road in Dunfermline after a fire broke out in a home in the wee hours this morning (Monday).
Three fire engines from Dunfermline station rushed to the Leys Park Grove property after receiving reports of a kitchen fire around 2.45am.
The flames were put out prior to their arrival, and crews helped clear light smoke from the home.
There were no injuries but an elderly man was treated by ambulance staff at the scene. However, he did not need to be taken to hospital.
