A TEAM from Lloyds Bank in Rosyth looks to continue its support after volunteering at Headwell’s Abbotsford Care Home’s sports day.

Ten employees helped out at the sports day which took place last week and they’re already planning a return visit.

Jennifer Dargan, from the Rosyth branch that organised the volunteers, said, “It was really great helping out with the residents on their sports day.

“We just wanted to do something a bit different and to get involved with something very local.

“It was good fun and we did all different sorts of activities but understandably the residents got quite tired so we managed to continue our volunteering by helping them out at lunch and playing indoor games with them all. “It was nice and felt very rewarding to be part of the day.

“The weather was great – a little bit cold but everyone really enjoyed themselves and some of the staff said that they are going to visit the residents again to chat with them over a cup of tea!

“Every year we get involved with volunteering, you can do it on your own or as part of a group. We really like to do it as a group because as well as helping other it helps our teamwork.”
