POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for information to help trace a Dunfermline woman missing since last week.

Carol-Ann Taggert left her home address in Hill of St Margaret, Dunfermline, at around 1am on Monday 22nd December but has not been seen since this time.

The 54-year-old's grey Vauxhall Antara car was then found around 9.15pm on Christmas Day in Burns Street, having previously been sighted at the Vine Church, Garvock Hill.

Officers are currently conducting various lines of enquiry to locate Carol-Ann and anyone who can assist with this investigation is urged to come forward.

She is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall with shoulder-length dark hair and glasses. It is believed she was wearing a blue tracksuit.

Inspector June Peebles said, "It's been nearly one week since Carol-Ann was last seen and she has not been in contact with friends or family during the Christmas period.

"As such, we are growing increasingly concerned for her wellbeing and are keen to establish her whereabouts as soon as possible.

"Anyone who believes they have seen Carol-Ann since 22nd December or who has information relevant to this enquiry is asked to contact police immediately."

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
