A MAN aged 34 and a 33-year-old woman have appeared in court in relation to the seizure of class A drugs worth £300 in Dunfermline.

They were arrested and charged after a swoop by police last Wednesday, where 25 officers executed six search warrants in the city centre.

Two other men, aged 27 and 31, were reported for associated drug offences.

A police spokesman said that, since January, there had been 16 successful stop and searches in the centre of Dunfermline where class A and B substances were confiscated.

He said last week’s raid was a direct result of the searches and additional intelligence gathered.

Sergeant Neil McGurk, of the Community Investigations Unit, stated, “This operation reinforces Police Scotland’s commitment to keeping people safe.

“The use and sale of drugs within communities will not be tolerated and we will act where we can to try and keep our streets safe.”
