POLICE in Fife have arrested and charged three people in connection with the death of a man in Dunfermline yesterday (Sunday).
Two men, aged 25 and 29, and a 23-year-old woman will appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today (Monday) charged with assault.
Officers have today named the man who died as 26-year-old Arif Mahmood, from Dunfermline.
His family have issued the following statement through Police Scotland: "We are finding it extremely difficult to come to terms with our loss and would ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time."
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident but are urging any further witnesses to come forward and contact Police Scotland on 101.
