Visitors enjoyed a range of attractions and activities, including a funfair, parkour, ‘Wrestlemania’, American football, balance bikes, face-painting and a bird display.

Clowns were on hand to entertain and there were also several community stalls and a tombola, as well as a mouthwatering barbecue laid on by the Cairneyhill Scouts and cake and candy from St Ninian’s Church.

Councillor Billy Pollock helped kick off the afternoon by crowning the festival king and queen, Corey Fletcher and Nichole Robertson.

A festival spokesperson said, “Everything went well, it was just a really good community day and everybody enjoyed themselves.

“Wrestlemania and the funfair were really popular, the face-painters and clowns were very busy.

“Lots of people turned up – we had about 900 folk throughout the day.

“A big thank-you to Fife Council and the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust for funding the day and to Abbeyview Community Council for organising it.”
