Mercury Award nominee comes to Dunfermline

Mercury Award nominee King Cresosote comes to Dunfermline this Saturday as part of Dunfermline Folk Weekend.

Kenny Anderson and his band will play the Glen Pavilion with support from Stonedyke and The Lennox Family.

A spokesperson for the event said, "His principal value has been the music, and

the importance of maintaining a local base.

"And his music has brought him international fame, and aMercury award nomination for his album Diamond Mines with Jon Hopkins."

The Dunfermline Press is media sponsor to the Dunfermline Folk Weekend.

Entertainments editor Matt Meade said, "Organisers have pulled off a real coup in getting King Creosote to perform on Saturday.

"Have a Mercury Award nominee playing in Dunfermline will be a huge draw for music fans."

King Creosote, Glen Pavilion, Saturday 27th October, 7.30pm. £15, (u16s £8).
