BULLDOZERS finally moved in to Inverkeithing's Fraser Avenue as the demolition of flats began today.
In March 2015, Fife Council agreed to a full demolition and complete redevelopment of the street for low rise housing, to be developed by Kingdom Housing Association.
Work began on site in September in preparation for the demolition to begin, which is expected to take approximately eight weeks to complete.
Kingdom Housing Association will deliver 53 new homes for social rent, which will include a mixture of houses, bungalows and four-in-a-block cottage flats of different sizes, with 52 of them being allocated to tenants from Fraser Avenue who wish to remain in the street.
We will have more on this story in Thursday's Press.
