MORE THAN 150 people took part in the charity walk organised by the Rotary Club of Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay on Saturday.

This was the 13th annual walk, from Ballast Bank in Inverkeithing to Silver Sands in Aberdour, organised by the club for the benefit of West Fife charities.

More than £50,000 has been raised by the club in the 13 years the walk has been held. This year, the main beneficiary will be the charity, Hearts and Minds, which works with dementia sufferers in Queen Margaret Hospital.

Club president Hamish Ferguson said, “Dementia affects all members of a family where it strikes and we are pleased that this year the funds raised by those taking part in the walk will support such a worthwhile charity as Hearts and Minds.” Walk organiser Diane Garriock thanked those who had participated in the walk together with all their sponsors.
