POLICE conducting a search at Prestonhill Quarry near Inverkeithing have today (Friday) recovered a man's body.
Earlier this morning, the Press broke the news that a teenager was suspected to have drowned at the disused quarry, which is located along the Fife Coastal Path.
Officers responded along with other emergency services after being alerted around 9.20pm last night (Thursday) following reports of an 18-year-old within the water.
Inquiries are ongoing to confirm the man’s identity and to determine the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
