THERE should be fireworks tomorrow with The View frontman Kyle Falconer playing a gig at the Brown Bear in Rosyth.

Owner of the Queensferry Road venue, Asif Mahmood, said: "I can't believe my luck! This is such a big signing for Rosyth.

"We've been trying to get local bands gigging here over the last year so when I found out that Kyle was going on tour I thought I'd try my luck and persuade him to do a small gig here.

"After several talks with tour promoters they said they were up for it."

He continued: "It's a big deal for Rosyth – The View have a massive fan base and one gig has already sold out of 900 tickets."

The View enjoyed chart success in 2007 when their single, 'Same Jeans', made it to number 3 on the UK chart.

The Dundee band have made five studio albums and have played T in the Park a record eight times.

Asif added: "The venue will only hold 150 people but Kyle has said he enjoys playing to smaller audiences because the atmosphere is always great.

"I'm excited that locals only have to go down the road to see a famous person. It'll be a great night out and something to really look forward to."

The gig will start at 7pm and will include up and coming artists Billy Mitchell and Brown Bear, from Edinburgh.

Tickets are £15 and are available from the Brown Bear bar or their Facebook page.
