THERE will be a Christmas Fayre in Rosyth on Wednesday to raise funds for a volunteer befriending service.

Organised by Real Living's Older Peoples Service, it will take place from 10.30am to 3pm at Parkgate Community Centre.

There will be various craft stalls including Feather Finesse and JacByDesign Glassware, cake stalls and refreshments as well as a tombola and raffle.

The entrance fee of £1 includes refreshments.

Real Living’s Older Peoples Befriending Service, run by LinkLiving Ltd, part of the Link group, provides a volunteer befriending service for older people affected by social isolation throughout Fife,  with a focus on those who are affected by physical or mental frailty.

The service matches trained volunteers with vulnerable older people to provide person-centred befriending support in people’s homes and in their communities.

It also provides an opportunity for older people to get together at its social cafes, in Torryburn and Rosyth, to enjoy companionship and to take part in activities run by the volunteers.

All money raised will be used for the project and will be used to support any activities for the older people and volunteers engaged in the project.
