FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a disused quarry near Inverkeithing today (Monday) after a gorse fire broke out.
Crews were called out around 2.25pm to Fairykirk Quarry, just off the A921 Admiralty Road between Inverkeithing and Rosyth.
An area measuring 20 metres by 50 metres was aflame but had been put out by 3.30pm.
Firefighters returned later this afternoon to check on the site.
