ROSYTH’s Hilton Road post office is to be upgarded next week.

The facelift for the branch, housed within McColls newsagents, will be unveiled at 1pm on 25th September.

Services are to be provided from a new open-plan combination counter and will be available throughout the shop’s opening hours of 6am-8pm Monday-Friday, 7am-8pm Saturday and 7am-6pm Sunday.

Residents will be able to access a wide range of services including special delivery, local collect, home shopping returns, online banking cash deposits and withdrawals, and MoneyGram.

They’ll also be able to pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.

Anne Clark, Post Office area manager, said, “We know how important post office services are to residents in Rosyth and we are confident that this new-style post office at the heart of the community will be popular.

“The modernisation is part of a major Government investment programme that is enabling us to continue investing in the post office network and to map out a bold growth strategy through to the end of the decade.” The Hilton Road post office will be shut from 5.30pm on 22nd September for the refurbishment to take place.

Dave Thomas, McColls chief operating manager, said, “We are delighted to be welcoming customers to our newly refurbished Rosyth Terminal Post Office, which will offer a wide range of Post Office services alongside our extensive retail offer.

“As a convenience store operator, we are always looking for ways to make life easier for our customers and the additional post office services will be available for the full opening hours of the store in order to provide an excellent service for the local community.”
