CAMDEAN Primary School pupils are urging dog owners to pick up their pet’s mess after being “disgusted” at the large amounts they have seen in Rosyth.

Members of the Primary 5/6 and 7 classes at the school wrote to the Press following our ‘Bag It and Bin It’ campaign.

Pupils Tyler and Danielle wrote, “Recently, our classes have been walking to the local bowling club in Rosyth. On our trip to bowling we were disgusted by how much dog mess we saw.

“This is not a one-off! It is in every street, in the park that we go to and in our playground at school.

“Dog mess is smelly and unhygienic. It is the responsibility of pet owners to pick up the mess but they aren’t. This means that we are getting it on our clothes and shoes.

“We are asking everyone in Rosyth to ‘Bag It and Bin It’ and take pride in where we live. We want to keep the streets clean so we can play out without constantly looking at the ground.

“Plus, did you know that you can get a £40 on-the-spot fine for not picking up your dog mess?

“Please help us keep our streets clean and make Rosyth an area to be proud of!”
