TWO teenage sisters from Rosyth represented their town and Fife last month in the final for Miss Teen British Isles Model Competition 2014.

Competing against each other Nicole (17) and Chloe Macari (15) were both selected for the final 30, which was whittled down from over 1000 entries, but narrowly missed the top five.

Both hoping to secure jobs in modelling or acting, Nicole represented Rosyth and Chloe represented Fife in the final which was held in the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool.

It was the Macaris' competition debut and they were the first sisters to have reached the final and competed against each other in the 10 years the event has been running.

Nicole said, “We are used to competing against each other because of our age.

“There is only 16 months between us so we have ended up in the same clubs all our lives from swimming to gymnastics – luckily we have never been in the same class at school!” Chloe added, “The competition was really nerve racking but we got on quite well most of the time and it was really nice to support each other.” The competition consisted of two rounds and an interview. The girls had to walk the catwalk in front of a crowd – the first round they wore jeans and a t-shirt and the second they dressed in evening wear.

The girls were sponsored by Forth Country Health and Beauty, Queensferry Road, Rosyth and would like to thank Carole Smith for her kind donation and support.
