A DINNER lady at St John’s Primary, Rosyth was given a fitting send-off at her retirement presentation last Tuesday afternoon.
Maureen Meade, 59, has been a dinner lady at the school for 27 years and was the only remaining member of staff who had served in both the old school building and the new one on Heath Road.
At the presentation, Maureen, from Rosyth, was given a bouquet of flowers, chocolates and an Ernest Jones gift voucher by her granddaughters who both attend the school.
Maureen’s children are former pupils too.
Frances Fraser, headteacher at St John’s, said, “She is just a lovely, hard-working lady who was very much part of the family here. She is now planning to spend more time with her own family”
