Police appeal after Dunfermline car park incident

Print | Email

FIFE police want to get in contact with a good Samaritan and the driver of a car which hit a pensioner in B&Q car park in Dunfermline.

A 66-year-old woman broke her hip and shoulder after a black car reversing into a space knocked her down last Wednesday, 24th June, around 1.30pm.

Police said the driver stopped immediately and gave his name to a passer-by who had also stopped to help the injured pensioner.

A spokesman said, 'The good Samaritan who stopped and took the lady to hospital left the Queen Margaret Hospital after she was admitted.

'Unfortunately the man driving the black car gave his details to the woman who helped at the scene and the victim has no idea who the man was.

'Police are keen to speak to the man involved and to the woman who graciously assisted at the scene and conveyed the woman to hospital.'

Fife police can be contacted on 0845 600 5702.
