West Fife man on murder charge

A CROSSGATES man appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff today (Monday) on a murder charge.

Alistair Thomson (42) made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody in connection with an incident in Braemount, Cowdenbeath, in the early hours of Saturday in which a 43-year-old man died.

Police had been called to the scene after reports of a disturbance. Thomson is expected to return to court on 9th February.
