PARS match against Queen of the South was called off at 5.30pm tonight because the undersoil heating couldn't cope with a sudden dip in temperature.

It's the second time in four days that the First Division clash has had to be called off, although this time the heating had been turned on.

A statement from the club said, "Despite the under soil heating still being on, the sudden drop in temperature over the last two hours has created ice on the pitch surface and the game has now been postponed.

"DAFC would like to apologise to both sets of supporters."

The weather also caught out the club on Saturday with the match called off around 12.30pm.

Not expecting the temperatures to drop so low, Pars had not turned the undersoil heating on prior to the game.
