Randy youths in Dalgety Bay car park sex sessions

RANDY youths have been causing Dalgety Bay residents sleepless nights with late-night sex in a car park.

The steamy shenanigans in the car park next to Asda have escalated over the winter, taking place in parked cars in full view of residents whose gardens border the parking lot.

The youngsters have been hanging out at the site between 9-11pm and residents also have to put up with loud music as well as the screech of racing cars from Hillend.

A resident, who wanted to remain unnamed, said youngsters had been coming to the car park nightly for a year and it was "worse at weekends".

The resident, from Meadowfield, said she had seen a couple in a red car having sex on "two or three" occasions before Christmas.

She said, "You could see what they were doing in the back of the car, even though their windows were steamed up!

"The music was blaring and it was right in line with the back of my house - we had a fantastic view, the car was shoogling."

She added, "They urinate as well.

"People think I spend all my time at my windows but you can hear them, and you have to watch because you don't know what else they're getting up to."

She said she had also smelled drugs from a black car parked out back.

She added, "There are no lights at this car park so it's quite a good spot to be hidden.

"One night there was a decidedly sweet smell in the air from the car sitting out the back.

"I work in the community and I know what those drugs smell like.

"Both car windows were open and it was freezing cold weather, so they were definitely smoking something.

"I'm concerned that if they are doing drugs, they will get behind the wheel of a car and what damage could that do?"

She added that she had seen two males in the black car getting busted by the police.

She said, "The police were searching the car and I heard the policewoman say, 'Have you got any more of this?'

"It could possibly have been some kind of drugs that night.

"I'm quite a broad-minded person but I don't want these kinds of things going on at the back of my house."

A spokesperson for the Muir Group, who own the car park, confirmed that they had put up concrete rings on Tuesday so cars can no longer get inside.

However, the resident said cars were now congregating at the Ingenico car park between 9-10pm.

She said, "There were about six or seven of them there on Tuesday night and they were driving round and round the estate at high speed and beeping their horns.

"They're using their cars like a skid pan - flying round and round and doing these handbrake turns.

"They use the industrial estate as a race track - they'll kill themselves one night.

"I saw them driving at high speed and one of them was hanging out the window and there was another filming it on his mobile phone so no doubt that'll be going on YouTube or something."

The thumping music and racing has particularly been a problem for the resident's husband, a lorry driver.

She said, "He works between 1.30-6.30am and goes to bed around 7-7.30pm hoping to get a few hours' sleep but he's woken up and struggles to get back to sleep again.

"He needs to have his wits about him and needs to get rest, so it has become a problem."

She wants a greater police presence in Dalgety Bay to curb the problems, saying, "I've asked if it'd be possible for them to come round the estate at night but I've never seen them coming round.

"I phoned them one night and a couple of hours later they still hadn't arrived.

"We have a police station but it's closed at night - what's the point of that?

"I really feel we need to have police patrols stepped up within Dalgety Bay at night."

Community council chair Colin McPhail said he was "relieved" that the problem in the car park next to Asda had been solved.

However, he aded, "I am concerned about the congregation of young people and boy racers on the industrial estate and that will be referred to the police for action.

"A greater police presence would be welcome - it's certainly a visual deterrent."

From some of the article you might think that there is am element of voyuerism going on, that fact that she could hear what the police was saying unless the police were using a megaphone ?. Maybe some of the local residents might be enjoying the view through their binoculars ?. Hope the national press don't get hold of this story of the car park could turn in to a local dogging area.

Would just like to clear this up. I could be one of these people mentioned in there car however this has been blown way out of portportion! this is ridiculous! 1. the car park is at least 150/200m from the houses! 2.there is no way she could smell any drugs because we do not do drugs at all so that is made up. 3. we most definatly do NOT! play loud music because it's those very people who play their music loud in their car's while revving the engines that we hate. 4. we are not NEDS/CHAVS we go there to talk to eachother not like the racers or whatever you call it in dunfermline as that is for SCUM! however this article is made up of lies and the typical media making us young people look like SCUM once again when infact if you actually knew who we were would know we are not and just how much we do for charities etc. in school! However i must not say we are totally innocent because we do sit there for pretty long periods of time however i must stress we do NOT! rev our engines or play music, have sex or take videos of us handbreak turning with people hanging out of windows? I mean come on please do you think we are invalids? just to stress this point once more THAT WOMEN COULD NOT SEE OR SMELL ANYTHING! this article is ridiculous! we take the blame for parking there and talking to one and other and onbviously there will have been the odd shout now and again and the beep of the horn however nothing near the extent that this article points out! and number 12344 - the police have never searched our car or even stopped us as we sit there as they know fine well we do nothing wrong! it is illegal to search a car without a warrant! sorry old lady bu****hink you may be lying here! either that or the dunfermline press is a discrace! thanks you.

why dont you congregate somewhere quiet, thereby you can have as much intimate chats and whatevers to your haerts content

Davey boy,by making this statement i pressume you will have witnessed us racing and playing music? also like to add that we do not congregate in the car park stated as having no lights. you would be lucky to fit 3 cars in that place. Your just as bad as them davey boy - I am not saying we are innocent, however what I am saying is we DO NOT play loud music or race nor do we have sex in our cars. If we wanted to do that sort of stuff we would go up to dunfermline racers car park where we could play our loud music and race until our hearts are content. Same older people making every youth that drives a car at 17 look like a NED. If you want to write a true story about 'randy youths' go to racers car park where you will find lots of 'randy youths' in there 2.5L ford focus RS and there 2.0L subaru with their giant exhausts that make more noise than a digger.

Graham I have every sympathy for you as I have been in a battle like this for as long as I can remember.

I just want to state a few things to the people that think anyone with a modified car drives around like an idiot. I own a heavily modified Subaru Impreza along with a severly heavily modified road legal rally car which has cost in excess of £10K to build. I DO NOT drive around like an idiot because lets face it, I wouldn't risk wasting all the time and effort that has gone into my cars just to prove that my car is better than someone else's. I would also like to state that people with modified cars are not some bums who borrow their parent's cars and have no job. I am a Doctor of Science and work in Biomedicinal Chemistry and I am a self confessed car enthusiast.

Yes I agree there are people who drive around like they own the road and have no respect for anyone else but this is not every teenage driver and they shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush. As a teenager I used to spend my evenings in a car park and like you Graham the people who did the whole burn out competitions and generally acted the goat were really loathed.

Do you really think that the police would just sit back and let these people behave like that? There have obviously been no complaints made or these people would have been moved on a long time ago.

It may well be that there are people having sex in the car park and taking drugs but it shouldn't be assumed that this is the behaviour of everyone who owns a modified car.

God that lady must have super sonic hearing because that carpark is way too far away to see anything in the dark let alone smell anything. Some people will do anything to get into the paper these days. I'm on your side Graham, about 12 or so years ago I used to hang around in the carpark up the town in my wee VW Beetle. I managed to behave myself. Maybe if there was actually something for younger people to do they wouldnt have to hang out in carparks.

Some of the comments above, about people wanting to watch are just ridiculous. This is right on somebody's doorstep, they are just concerned and want them to go somewhere else. If the people using the car parks were quiet and just wanted a place to sit and talk, then I'm sure nobody would mind. However they do draw attention to themselves. I also know, from my work, that most of the people that go to these places are not from the bay area. Recently somebody was given an ASBO for this type of behaviour but it didn't phase them. I think, if young people are found to be driving dangerously, in possession of any drugs, and being loud, disturbing the peace then better steps need to be taken.

Graham, you admitted you are not innocent, so what are you doing to give the citizens of Dalgety bay reassurance, and faith in young people.

The views of young people as "Neds" or "Chavs" will always be a problem for some people over the age of 20, because they themselves have become detached from their own youth, quite frankly they cannot control what young people do, and that scares them.

Would a group of young people complain about a bunch of Boozy middle aged adults falling out of the clubs and pubs on a Friday night up the town because its not setting a good example ?

"They are drinking, they shouldn't be", but nobody ever points the finger at the people who are legally allowed to drink, but drink to excess, or leave the "clubhouse" having watched a football or rugby game, full of alcohol, and get into their cars. Just because adults wear the big trousers now, doesn't excuse them from their own short Cummings, and lets not forget we were all teenagers.
