Fears grow for missing Dunfermline man

Print | Email

FEARS are growing for a missing Dunfermline man last seen walking onto the Forth Road Bridge nearly two weeks ago.

Robert Kyle's car was found in the area of the Forth Road Bridgehead after he disappeared on Saturday 6th March.

Despite extensive enquiries and an appeal in the Press last week his whereabouts remain unknown.

Fife Police are continuing to ask witnesses to come forward following the disappearance of the 31-year-old.

He is 6'2" tall, of slim build with blonde collar-length hair and was wearing a black fitted jacket and red t-shirt with the logo 'Hong Kong Fooey', blue jeans and white Fred Perry trainers.

Inspector Neil Henderson, leading the enquiry, said, "Our enquiries have indicated that between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Saturday evening, Mr Kyle was seen to walk south on the Forth Road Bridge on the west footpath.

"We are aware of a couple of people walking their dogs and two cyclists, both groups were heading north into Fife and indeed passed Mr Kyle on the footpath".

Mr Kyle's family remain "very concerned" for his well-being and police are appealing for anyone who was walking your dog or cycling on the bridge at the time to contact them on 0845 600 5702.
