Fife police are appealing for witnesses after more than £1,500 of fishing gear was stolen from a garden shed in Rosyth.

The gear, including rods and reels, was stolen from a shed in Albert Street between Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th March.

PC Austin Barrett said, "The fishing gear stolen included rods and reels and represents a considerable loss to the owner.

"I would appeal for any member of the public who has information that might assist us in our enquiries, including being approached by any person selling this type of equipment, to contact the police on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

You say he Should have kept it indoors and you have no sympathy?? thats a bit harsh, this shed was locked and in someones garden, what right had someone to go and break into it? lets look at it from another point of view. if someone broke into your car and stole your stereo or personal items or jumped your fence and stole your garden furniture and kids toys would that be your fault too?

this shed was securely locked and the reason this stuff is kept in a shed is i dont have enough room in my house.and with respect to all the comments i should be able to leave things in a locked shed without anybody touching it, and i am not looking for sympathy would like my stuff back as it has took me a long time to get all the gear together

Would the household insurance not cover it. Mine covers me for things left in my shed. Only costs a wee bit extra too, Better safe than sorry.
