Guns stolen in Aberdour housebreaking
FIREARMS have been stolen from a gun cabinet during a housebreaking in Aberdour while the owners were on holiday.
A number of shotguns were taken from the locked cabinet in the house in Dovecot Park some time between 2nd and 25th April.
Sergeant Kenny Bow said, "This break-in has happened whilst the householder has been on an extended holiday.
"During that time someone has forced entry to the house and subsequently gained access to a locked gun cabinet and a number of legally held firearms have been stolen.
"I am particulary interested in witnesses who may have seen a person or persons in the vicinity of Dovecot Park, Aberdour, between the dates mentioned who may have been acting suspiciously.
"I am also interested in hearing from anyone who may have been recently offered firearms for use or sale or who may have knowledge of someone who has recently acquired one or more shotguns.
"Any information relating to this crime may be crucial in the recovery of these firearms and reiterate that any information received will be treated in utmost confidence."
