Body washed up on banks of the Forth
A BODY has been washed up on the banks of the Forth at Airth just over a fortnight after a swimmer went missing in the river.
The discovery was made on Sunday afternoon and although there has been no identification so far, it is believed it could be the body of George Gibson.
Mr Gibson, from Alloa, went missing near the Kincardine Bridge on 15th April after going into the river intending to swim to the other side.
His girlfriend contaced the emergency services when he failed to resurface but an extensive search failed to find any sign of Mr Gibson.
