A Kincardine family were evacuated from their home after a suspicious fire was discovered in three nearby lock up garages last night (Wednesday).

Around 11.45pm police and fire service personnel attended at Kellywood Crescent where they discovered the garages ablaze, with two garages containing vehicles.

A family had to be evacuated from a nearby house owing to their proximity to the fire before the fire service brought the blaze under control.

Fife police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a black coloured Vauxhall motor car, possibly an Insignia or Vectra model in or near to the scene at the time.

The circumstances of the fire are considered to be suspicious and police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information by calling 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
