Road tragedy kills doting dad of three
A TRAGIC West Fife road accident has claimed the life of a "doting" father-of-three, leaving his family devastated.
Motor-cyclist Paul Mitchell (34, pictured), from Saline, was travelling on the B913 Saline to Dollar road on Thursday afternoon when the accident occurred at around 3.55pm.
His blue Suzuki motorcycle was in collision with a black Volkswagen car and Mr Mitchell sustained fatal injuries. A report was subsequently submitted to the procurator fiscal at Dunfermline.
Speaking of the loss of her husband, Deborah Mitchell said, "Paul was the perfect husband and an amazing dad to our children, Eryn (10), Muir (7) and Ava (2) and his sudden death will leave a huge hole in our lives.
"His mum and dad and brother and sister are equally devastated and we are all finding it hard to come to terms with his tragic death."
In a death notice carried in today's Press, the family describe Paul as a "beloved husband of Deborah, doting dad to Eryn, Muir and Ava, a loving son of Janice and Jimmy, amazing brother to Lorna and Stewart".
The message goes on, "We will miss you so much."
Paul was originally from Rosyth, where his parents still live, and he attended Park Road Primary and Inverkeithing High School.
The road was closed until 11pm following the collision. The female driver of the car and her passengers were not physically injured but were suffering from shock.
