THE timings have been confirmed for Saturday's ceremony in Pittencrieff Park when music fans will pay tribute to one of Dunfermline's favourite sons, the late Stuart Adamson.

A commemorative bench paid for by fans of the Big Country and Skids legend will be unveiled at noon at the picturesque lily pond site.

Music fans from around the world are expected to make the pilgrimage to Stuart's home town as the 10th anniversary of his death approaches.

Gwenda Matthews, from Wigan, was saddened to see there was no memorial in Dunfermline to her hero during a day trip here and started a Facebook campaign to put that right.

She has been delighted with the response and has also had the support of Stuart's family.

PJ Molloys will be open from 1pm to 6pm after the ceremony playing Stuart's music and there will be guitars available for those fans who want to get up on stage and pay their own personal tribute.
