FRIENDS and family raised £750 at 'A Night for Gav' at East End Park recently.

The event was held in memory of Valleyfield man Gavin Fern, who suffered from cluster headaches and died last year aged 30.

Funds raised will go to the Organisation for the Understanding of Cluster Headaches (Ouch UK).

Organiser Ewan Carrigan said, "The night was a great success and we had huge support from local traders who gave us great raffle prizes.

"We'd like to thank everyone who donated to such a great cause and helped raise awareness of cluster headaches."

Meanwhile, Crossgates man Derek Davidson (28) will undergo 'A Run for Gav' on 22nd July to raise further funds for the charity.

He will run an 18-mile route from Edinburgh Castle to Dunfermline Abbey.
