Cold case review slams 'suspicious death' inquiry
A COLD case review into the death of Inverkeithing man Colin Marr has criticised Fife Police.
The fatal stabbing of Colin (23) following a row with his fiancee Candice Bonar in July 2007 was initially treated as a suicide by police.
However, his family soon suspected Colin had not taken his own life and began a long campaign to find out the truth.
Now a Crown Office cold case review by former top detective David Swindle has found the death was suspicious and should have been investigated as such from the start.
Colin's family supported by MSPs Willie Rennie and John Park are calling for his death to be investigatied by an external police force.
