CR Smith staff see window of opportunity for fundraising
A TEAM of volunteers from Dunfermline-based CR Smith is aiming to help raise over £150,000 for Barnado's and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The seven members of staff from the windows, doors and conservatories company are giving up time this weekend to help at the annual clay pigeon shoot held in aid of charity near Dundee.
Their job is to organise nearly 400 business men and women, sportsmen, celebrities and their guests around the eight sporting stands as part of a Flush and Flypast competition and hope they bid high prices for a range of prestigious auction prizes.
The volunteers include Fay Bancewicz, MJ Kelly, Kerry Robertson, Lynsey Brunton, Pauline Braisby, Jackie Stafford and Gareth McCluskey.
The shoot is hosted by CR Smith boss, Gerard Eadie CBE, and has been one of the hot tickets on the charity circuit for the past 12 years. Since the first event in 2001, the shoot has raised more than £1.75m for good causes.
