KAISER Chiefs are coming to Dunfermline on their new UK tour..

The Leeds rockers recently starred at the Olympics closing ceremony with their rendition of The Who's 'Pinball Wizard'.

They also got the party started at T in the Park when singer Ricky Wilson climbed up over the stage to get a better view of Balado and had the crowd in a frenzy with 'I Predict a Riot'.

They are coming to Dunfermline on their forthcoming tour playing the Alhambra on Thursday 14th February. Tickets go on general sale next Wednesday.

The Leeds band were formed in 2003 and in their early days supported some of the biggest names in the world such as U2, Green Day and Foo Fighters.

Soon they were established as headliners in their own right with a sting of hits such as 'Ruby', 'Everything is Average Nowadays' and 'Every Day I Love You Less and Less'.

They've been the recipients of numerous awards over recent years including three Brits and have also generated in excess of six million album sales.

The band line up is Ricky Wilson (vocals), Andrew Whitey White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Nick 'Peanut' Baines (keyboards) and Nick Hodgson (drums).

Alhambra marketing manager Claire Fletcher said, "We're delighted to be welcoming one of the biggest names in rock music to Dunfermline. It promises to be a great concert."
