Car slams into central reservation
A CAR spun off the road and slammed into the central reservation near Pitreavie this afternoon.
The incident happened at 2.15pm on the westbound A823, near the Sky building.
The driver of the Toyota complained of a sore shoulder but is believed to be otherwise unhurt.
The road remained opened throughout.

Report commentHow is this News? Cars are always slamming unto the central reservation or even the pedestrian refuges at crossings on this road. The standard of driving in Dunfermline is appalling.

I can hardly find the time to text or speak on the phone these days because of all the ignorant drivers on the roads.

Report commentSomeone mentions driving habbits. What we require first and foremost is exemplary examples of trust and integrity to emanate from the local law enforcers. Others may then be proud to follow by example. Recently, have the Fife bunch of law enforcers given much in these areas (including driving habits). Erm I do not think so.

Report commentI love vigilante road users... like those who think it's appropriate to warn others of their mis-deeds by flashing lights or honking horns.
They true patriots deserve medals...NOT!
@RedRobin: I trust you are a colleague of the finest Constabulary in Scotland and not a wannabe!!! Vigilante's make the job harder and need to back off.

Report commentRedrobin I have 14years experience, you state and I quote...
"This wee bird will be watching..next time anyone driving on the phone expect a visit and I'll make sure it is carried out..u think I am kidding? this wee robin is here for the winter! believe mw1" implying that you are also a police officer... am I right?
Now this implies that you are a police officer and will personally be making sure that those "ignorant" individuals will be brought to justice.
If you are not a officer as well you are what is regarded as a vigilante or nuisance depending how you look at it. Personally speaking those who try to intervene with matters above themselves are just as bad as those committing them and can often find themselves getting into bother.
Maybe redrobin isn't suitable name for you... JudgeDredd is perhaps better!
Food for thought.

Report comment@AnalSmith: I agree with what you are saying with regards to those who are not appointed law enforcement officials taking the law into their own hands. I witnessed first hand someone 'telling off' another road user for using their mobile (or some item causing them to be distracted) and it ended in the 'try-to-do' good citizen getting punched in the face.
As a law enforcer Analsmith you will understand frustrations caused to us "vigilante" as you state road users, @RedRobin: taking law into your own hands is ridiculous, you will not be merited for this and you are not being paid to do this therefore leave it to those whose responsibility this is.
I think the bottom line is that driving on the roads these days is a manic place because of ignorant, incompetant or useless drivers. For example someone using a mobile phone is as much a threat as somebody who doesn't know the roads and keeps weaving out of lanes in their confusion. Every individual should only take responsibility for their own driving and not try to concern themselves with others, if there is a problem that is what the Police are paid for to follow up.

Report commentI dont think you are a police officer, you are probably a senior nuisance who probably calls in every minuscule offence wasting our time when there are actual crimes being committed.
Good day sir now go put the kettle on like a good citizen!
