Dunfermline Golf Club celebrate 25 years of charity Celeb-Am
DUNFERMLINE Golf Club hosted their 25th anniversary celebrity charity tournament to take their fundraising total to more than £220,000.
The 2012 event was held on Sunday 29th May raising £13,700 and bringing the total amount distributed over the 25 years to £222,000.
Among the celebrities who played in the event were former Rangers and Scotland footballers Tommy McLean and Stewart Kennedy and former Scotland rugby captain Roy Laidlaw.
Cheques and equipment will be presented to CHAS. DEBRA (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association), Maggie's Centres, Fife Hospitals Kidney Support Group, McMillan Cancer Support, Dunfermline Group Riding for the Disabled, Edinburgh's Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Cairneyhill Primary School Special Needs Unit, Circle of Comfort, Dunfermline Street Pastors, West Fife Helping Hands Club, Victoria Infirmary Hospice and Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre.
To celebrate their 25th anniversary, a dinner, cabaret evening and auction will be held at the golf club on Saturday 27th October to provide a good start to fundraising for the 2013 event.
