THE search continues to find a lucky Fife punter as a jackpot worth nearly £144,000 remains unclaimed.

Last week lottery bosses confirmed that someone could be sitting on a ticket for a life-changing £143,967, but until now nobody has come forward.

The ticket was bought in the Fife Council area and was for the 17th August EuroMillions draw.

The winning numbers on that date were 19, 25, 28, 33, 44 and the Lucky Star numbers were 2 and 8.

Fifers are being urged to check their tickets and other places where a ticket might be hiding - such as down the back of the sofa.

The lucky ticket-holder has until Wednesday 13 February 2013 to claim the prize.

Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
