POLICE are investigating allegations of racism by taxi passengers against a driver who took them to Rosyth.

The taxi driver claims he was racially abused by a number of men he picked up in Edinburgh in the early hours of Sunday morning and brought to Rosyth.

The driver picked up five men and, during the journey and while dropping them off, he says some of them were racially abusive to him.

Sergeant Kenny Bow, from South West Fife, said, "Not all the men in the taxi were involved in the abuse but I am keen to identify all five.

"This behaviour was extremely upsetting to the victim and will not be tolerated in Fife.

"I appeal to any of the men travelling in that taxi, or anyone who has any information about this crime to contact Fife Police on 08456005702 or Crimestoppers on 0800555111."
