CHRISTMAS has come early at Dobbies Garden World Dunfermline - in fact, it arrives this Thursday.

The garden centre in Fife Leisure Park will host a Christmas charity evening from 5-9pm on 4th October to celebrate all things festive and launch its national Christmas charity partnership with CLIC Sargent.

The fund-raising campaign aims to raise £50,000 to enable CLIC Sargent to help support children, young people and their families to deal with childhood cancer.

Dobbies' charity evening will include live demonstrations including 'How to glam up your Christmas tree', and 'Icing inspiration for your Christmas cake' from the in-store bakers'.

There will also be live music, children's entertainment such as craft tables and face painters, and a host of foodie demos.

Laura Hastie, Community Champion for Dobbies Dunfermline said, "CLIC Sargent is a fantastic charity to be working with and will touch the hearts of our customers, many of whom are parents and grandparents themselves.

"CLIC Sargent's work is one of a kind in the UK and we look forward to welcoming our customers to the variety of events planned as part of our Christmas fundraising campaign throughout the festive season."

Tickets for the charity evening cost £1 are available in-store and include a mince pie and mulled wine on arrival.
