MORE THAN 60 different ales and ciders are ready to be sampled as Dunfermline's popular annual two-day beer festival gets under way today (Friday).

The Press is once again the media sponsor of the festival, which raises thousands of pounds for local charities as well as groups such as Dunfermline Rugby Club.

Pints will be pulled from 5pm-1am at the Glen Pavilion tonight, while on tomorrow (Saturday) there will be an afternoon session from 1.30-4pm before the festival resumes from 7.30pm-1am.

This week's Dunfermline Press has a full preview of the festival together with a handy guide to the ales on offer.
