A WEST FIFE musical group are hoping to drum up more support after they were showcased on national television on Saturday.

Drumatik have reached the final of the National Lottery Awards in the Best Arts Project category and are appealing for another wave of local support following their appearance on BBC One's National Lottery Draw show.

The winner in each category, decided by a public vote, will be celebrated at a special star-studded BBC One Show later in the year. Winners receive a £2,000 cash prize to spend on their project as well as a coveted National Lottery Awards trophy.

Drumatik is the sole Scottish representative at the awards and aims to challenge society's preconceptions about people with learning disabilities.

The project gets people out of their houses to become part of a team which regularly performs music for the public.
