The father of Gary: Tank Commander catches up on the latest West Fife news in Monday's episode of the hit sitcom.
THE Press received a bit of national attention on Monday night when a popular TV character was spotted flicking through a copy of the paper.
Eagle-eyed reader Steven Birrell got in touch to say he had spotted Martin McLintoch - the father of the title character in BBC Scotland's Gary: Tank Commander - catching up on the latest West Fife news after sending his son to his room in Monday's episode (see picture).
The spoof miltary comedy stars Greg McHugh as Gary, a perma-tanned army corporal who hails from Dalgety Bay.
The BAFTA award-winning sitcom has returned for a third series on BBC 1 Scotland which is also expected to run nationwide on BBC 3 later this year.
