A special bike ride has been organised in Dunfermline on Saturday to mark a year since the launch of Cycle Start.

It starts at 11am in Pittencrieff Park, next to the Peacock Rooms, and returns around 12.30pm.

Cycle Start is a Fife Council initiative designed to help budding cyclists gain confidence and meet new people on five-mile rides.

Led by a trained leader, the rides are free, open to everyone aged 10 and over (10-17-year-olds need to be accompanied by an adult) and are regular to allow you to build up fitness and experience.

Once you've registered - contact Iain Thomson by email at iainthomson66@hotmail.com - you can attend further rides whenever you like.
