Commuters hit by rush hour signalling fault
TRAVEL chaos hit Fife's rail network yesterday after a number of rush hour trains were cancelled.
A signalling problem on the main east coast line caused delays to commuters as buses were brought in to transport travellers past the affected area between Aberdour and Burntisland.
Services in both directions were hit by the disruption which started at 6am and continued until just after 10am.
A Scotrail spokeswoman said, "Many apologies to customers for this Monday morning disruption, which was beyond our control."

Report commentCan ScotRail please explain why an almost empty train passed through Rosyth without stopping even though there were passengers(customers!) standing there?
Surely, their focus should have been on getting as many stranded people to work, whatever it takes?
