BABY Sophie has a unique birthplace - East End Park!
She was born in the shadow of the main stand on Halbeath Road after being delivered by her gran in a car.
Mum Stephanie MacPhee (19) went into labour when she was being taken to hospital by partner Paul Rowley (24) and in-laws Karen and Rik Walter.
Her waters broke just as the Nissan Qashqai drove past Dunfermline Police Station.
By the time the car pulled over outside the stadium, the baby was on its way as Stephanie sat in the back of the car. She said, "We weren't sure what to do."
"My mother-in-law had to get out the car and the ambulance service told her what to do over the phone.
Karen said, "I've never done anything like this before but I am very close to my daughter-in-law, there's a lot of trust there and I'm just really glad my husband and I could help her and the baby. That's eight grandchildren we have now altogether!
"This will be a night we will always remember, we're very proud of our wee Sophie."
Sophie was born at 7.23pm on Thursday 4th October, weighed 6lbs 10ozs and is a wee sister for two-year-old Graham.
A spokesperson for Dunfermline Athletic said, "Congratulations to very proud parents, Stephanie and Paul, and a massive well done to Granny, Karen Walter from everyone at DAFC!"
