'Keep smiling!' Kate's memories of Mary
KATE Smart will sing her heart out in memory of her mum at Carnegie Hall this Saturday.
She is one of several performers taking part in 'Musicals for Mary' in aid of the Mary Leishman Foundation.
The foundation was started in memory of Mary, who loved performing onstage for Kelty Musical Association and sadly died in February 2009.
Local talent will sing songs from Mary's favourite musicals. They include Kim Shepherd, Donna Hazelton, Keith Hendrie, Vicki Robertson, Darren Niven, Bobby Mitchell and Craig Smith.
See this week's Press for a full interview with Kate who speaks about how her musical mum inspired her.
'Musicals for Mary', Carnegie Hall, Saturday. Tickets £15 (£12). Box office: 602302. wwwmaryleishmanfoundation.com
