COME and discover the ghostly goings-on at Abbot House as the medieval property celebrates Halloween tomorrow (Wednesday).

A special evening event at Dunfermline's oldest - and some say most haunted - house will recount terrifying tales that will make visitors' hair stand on end.

Among them are the Bride of Abbot House, said to have been bricked into a fireplace on her wedding day; the monk, whose spectre has been seen haunting the cellars of the house; and young John Tanner, who was 'followed' through the cemetery one night.

Tickets for the evening cost £15 and include a walk through the house, followed by a warming supper in the café. For more information, call 733266.
