The northbound off slip road to the A92 will be closed for three nights for resurfacing, with traffic management in place from 8pm to 6am. A signed diversion route will be in place via junction 3 (Halbeath) during the works.

The southbound on slip road will then be closed from Wednesday for five nights, with traffic management again in place between 8pm and 6am.

Ian Stewart, from Bear Scotland, said, “These M90 slip roads see almost 25,000 vehicles use them each day.

“For the safety of the workforce and road users it is necessary to close the slip roads while work is taking place and so the works have been planned for overnight to minimise disruption.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause during the works.” Transport Scotland said the resulting smoother and safer surface is part of their ongoing trunk road maintenance programme, and should be complete by Wednesday 7th May.

No works are planned on Friday 2nd or Saturday 3rd May.

Materials removed from the existing carriageway will be recycled using Sepa-approved methods.

The works are being carried out by Aggregate Industries on behalf of Bear Scotland, and were planned in consultation with Police Scotland and Fife Council.
