MOTORISTS are being reminded that restrictions will be in place on and around the Forth Road Bridge during two upcoming events to mark the structure’s 50th anniversary.
On Sunday 7th September there will be no access to North Queensferry via Ferryhills Road due to a flotilla event taking place. The following Saturday (13th) will see a torchlight procession and a fireworks display on the bridge, and access to North Queensferry will again be closed via Ferryhills Road. The bridge itself will also have restrictions in place on this date to allow the procession and fireworks to take place safely. Residents and businesses can still access North Queensferry on both dates using alternate routes.
Additional police resources and parking restrictions will also be in place on both sides of the bridge to ensure safety and minimise disruption.
